Hello! Welcome to BellaLuna Ragdolls! We are a small, exclusive in-home hobby breeder of extraordinary Ragdolls located in Maryland. We believe that Ragdolls are life-enhancers, that looking at them is pure pleasure, and owning them (or having them own you!) is pure joy. We are a rather new cattery here at BellaLuna, after owning four outstanding Ragdoll show/alters, showing in CFA with them since 2004, meeting some wonderful breeders of Ragdolls who have become dear friends, and learning a great deal about Ragdolls.

Ragdolls are a fairly new breed, genetically speaking. They have only been in existence for about the last 50 years. They are a created breed, that is to say, in the beginning of the breed they were consciously bred with outcrosses to become what they are today. What they are is a beautiful, pointed, blue-eyed cat; large, with strong bones, a rectangular body with silky, soft, semi-long hair, a long plumey tail and a gentle, loving temperament. We first became interested in Ragdolls about 20 years ago after seeing some pictures and reading a description of them in an excellent cat book. One Ragdoll of my own became four precious show/alters. Four precious show/alters led me to the dream of breeding these special animals myself. This dream was nurtured and made possible by our excellent mentor and dear friend, Kathleen Burke of Kissykat who has Ragdoll cats that have raised the standard of our breed very high.

Our kitties are members of the family here at BellaLuna. They are raised underfoot (literally, sometimes, like furry speedbumps), are all allowed free house privileges, and sleep with us, share the couches, chase each other up and down stairs, and generally live the good cat life. They have a Tiny Toy Poodle of their own, Sundance, whom they all play with and love. So we know first-hand how well Ragdolls are suited to living with dogs.

We are members of both CFA and TICA, and Ragdolls of America Group (RAG). All of our Ragdolls are registered in CFA and some are registered in TICA also. Kittens are sold with CFA papers but may be registered in TICA as well.

THIS CATTERY IS DEDICATED TO KATHLEEN BURKE OF KISSYKAT. WITHOUT HER LOVING CARE IT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE. SHE IS THE MOST WONDERFUL PERSON I HAVE EVER MET, AND RAISES THE MOST WONDERFUL RAGDOLLS. THANK YOU, KATHLEEN, WITH ALL OF MY HEART, FOR BELLALUNA.
